Microsoft Office Professional Plus: Tied and untied versions

The Professional Plus version of Microsoft Office has some special features compared to other versions. This also applies to the retail version we offer, which can be legally sold and resold to anyone in Europe. The download for this retail version is linked on our product page and is freely accessible to everyone on Microsoft servers.

There are two sub-versions, the bound and the non-bound version.

The bound sub-version is linked by the end user to their Microsoft account on the redeem.microsoft.com page. It can be reactivated again and again via the Microsoft account on the same device with the same hardware, for example if the operating system needs to be reinstalled.

This is not the case with the cheaper, non-bound sub-version. It must be activated within 30 days of purchase without a Microsoft account and is available for just under 20 euros. The installation remains permanently activated, but it is not possible to reactivate the product after the 30 days have expired.
