Installation problems with Office 2019 under Windows 11 24H2

According to a study by the cyber security experts at Intra2net, 32 per cent of all companies in Europe use Office 2019, making it the most popular Office version on the continent and one that can be operated securely on Windows 11 for a very long time.

It almost seems like sabotage and an attempt by Microsoft to force an expensive subscription to Office 365 on Windows 11 users when 24H2 installation efforts of Office 2019 under Windows 11 fail with an endless loop in November 2024.

However, this does not appear to be intentional, but rather one of the countless weaknesses of the latest version of Windows 11, which are gradually being fixed via patches to the operating system. The problem affects Windows 11 installations on new devices that fulfil all official hardware requirements, as well as installations on older hardware.

But not on all hardware. Most devices apparently offer an environment for Windows 11 24H2 in which Office 2019 can be installed. And the operation of the software is not affected. So if you need a solution immediately, you can install the main data carrier of your device in a device with different hardware, install Office 2019 there - which is highly likely to succeed - and then carry out the product activation in your target device, in which you have to reinstall the data carrier.

Many Microsoft Windows and Office product activations are currently only possible by telephone. This costs useless time and nerves. A current version of Windows 11 with all available updates and the correct date and time settings increase the likelihood that activation will be possible online.
