Free version of Microsoft Word

Word online

Microsoft offers a free Word version for the first time: Word online. The first major disadvantage of this version is its name: The software can only be used online in the browser. It does not always run very fast. One could almost assume that it should not compete with the paid Word version.

But at least it works! And if, for example, you urgently need to edit a Word document on the go at a foreign computer, e.g. in a hotel or at an airport, Word online can be a lifesaver for you. The only requirement is a (free) Microsoft account.
