This outdated software puts your device at risk

Microsoft Office Update

Millions of computers and laptops have outdated free software installed that is no longer good for anything, but takes up memory and has dangerous security holes. It has not been supported by its manufacturers for a long time and has no current security updates. That is why it is popular with malware programmers who can abuse it as a gateway.

If you find the following software in your device's app list, you should uninstall it immediately - it is superfluous and potentially dangerous:

Adobe Flash Player - This was once necessary to view moving images. It is now superfluous. The last security update is from 2020.

Yahoo Messenger - Discontinued in 2018.

AOL Instant Messenger - Discontinued 2017.

Google Talk - Discontinued 2022.

Windows Live Messenger - Discontinued 2013.

GMX/Web.de Multimessenger - Discontinued 2014.

Cyberfox - A web browser that has not received security updates since 2018.

Personal Software Inspector (PSI) - Discontinued 2018.

AVG TuneUp Utilities - Not to be confused with the paid software AVG TuneUp, which is continuously updated.

Picasa - Discontinued in 2016. For security, you should switch to Google Photos.

Microsoft Office 2007 is now also very insecure. Office 2010, on the other hand, has at least received security updates until 2020 and can still be used, although you should avoid opening unknown documents from the internet at all costs.
