Windows 10 Version 1809 becomes a debacle

Microsoft's renewed attempt to deliver version 1809 of Windows 10 these days is turning into a debacle. The installation has a problem with several Intel drivers and aborts. Countless users also sit in front of a blue screen for various other reasons. Old computers as well as new computers are affected. Many have problems resetting their computer to an older, working version of Windows.

In general, the update is more successful if it is started from a USB stick created with the latest version of the media creation tool. It is also recommended to disconnect the computer from all devices except screen, mouse and keyboard during the update attempt.

If the update still doesn't work after several attempts, wait until 2019 and try again.

If you now urgently need a working computer, you should first switch off the automatic updates under Windows 10.
